Ride til we Rot

Ride til we Rot and Party til we Drop

For those who aren’t already aware of it, Majel Barrett passed on last Thursday at age 76, falling victim to Leukemia. She will be missed….

Dang, I wasn't aware of it either until today - usually my wife passes these things on to me. I'm old enough to remember watching the original Star Trek episodes when they were brand new on network television. I don't know how you define a Trekie from a Treker or what not? I've got no ST stuff around the house here and don't go to the conventions. But I love ST more then most anything, it's always 'positive', always uplifting, and never a downer like so many other things we could easily name. I thank the people that started it, and the folks that will keep it going. It's one of those things that will continue to strive into the future, long after we ourselves are dust. That in itself I think is pretty damn awesome. Nuff' said.

Footnote: What does this have to do with Motorcycles? Not much, except I’ve come to realize now over the years that there’s a lot of hard core Bikers out there who are Star Trek Fans too – nice to know I’m in good company.

Nowt wrong with a bit of star trek mate watched all the different series but same as you never done the collecting or convention thing but enjoy watching. Nothing wrong with a bit of innocent escapism it does not try to pretend to be real but if you look back at the original series at things like the communicators not much different from flip phones and tricorders just look at laptops pda's andblackberry phones we have full body scanners and laser weapons so what was science fiction in the past can become science fact in the future..Tony
sad day this is.cause i,m trekie fan as well
true as you say trikeskull, whats next ,meeting klingons, and possibly yeti,s.wad,ya mean you,ve allready met the yeti.yeah it,s me
Continuing with this thread (unfortunately) Ricardo Montalban aka 'Kahn' ref 'Space Seed' and 'The Wrath of Kahn' passed on yesterday. I was thinking if there was ever an actor (who played a villain) who complimented William Shatner’s (James T Kirk) 'style' of acting, it was this man… Nuff' said.

Normally it would be R.I.P

But I think "Live long and prosper" is more appropriate.
