Been riding since 1975. Been just kicking back in my older years lately. Don't ride as much as I used to. However, last year (2010) I rode from the San Francisco Bay Area (Vallejo, Ca) to Oregon and rode the coast all the way back, then rode to Sturgis, SD and back a month later (needed to test out my new bike that I bought to replace the one I wrecked in 2008). BTW: I grew up in Chalfont St. Peter, Buckinghamshire County, UK, back in the 1960's. I have a sister/brother-in-law in Bath, UK, who I visit now and then. My mother grew up in Richmond England.
What Bikes/Trikes do you own
2004 Electra Glide Screaming Eagle. I also have a 1958 Pan/Shovel stroked/bored to 93 inches, but it has been down for several years. I just sold the 1999 DynaGlide that I salvaged from the 2008 wreck where I hit a car doing 0 mph while I was doing 75 mph.
What type of music do you like
All types except commercially overplayed crap. Anything from classic rock (like XM/Sirrius Deep Tracks) to industrial/tech/goth and sometimes even classical. Most of the music I like is hard core, I even caught my self enjoying ghetto rap, but that is our secret. Been to several hundred of concerts (in night clubs, concert halls, arena's, race tracks (600,000 people Watkin Glens in 1971), Sturgis). I even worked in a night club on Haight Street, San Francisco where many famous bands have played (mostly 1980's industrial and punk bands (since I worked there in the 1980's)).
Have you had a Bike/Trike accident that you want to tell us about
Most recent was 2008. Hit a car that was doing 0 mph, I was doing 75 mph. Totalled out the car and screwed up my bike. Broke my fibia, pelvis and back. Also sacraficed my left wrist and right hand (did that to prevent my skull from caving in as it was getting ready to meet the pavement--I chipped my front tooth instead). My helmet got knocked off and luckily I came to from the concussion just in time to prevent my skull from hitting the pavement (my broken hand and wrist have since healed). I was helicoptered into intensive care. Then I had to spend 3 months in a nursing home where I was confined to a body cast for my back. From that accident I have a rod in my fibia, a bolt in my pelvis and 2 screws in my right hand. Originally my right hand broken bone healed in such a way that I could no longer flip anybody off with that hand. So I opted to go in for additional surgery to cut my hand bone and reset it. Now I can flip people off with both hands. Luckily, I wasn't wearing my jacket when I wrecked, otherwise it would have been trashed too.
There are a few other accidents several years ago, but that would take up too much space.
Hi Mike, sorry im just gettin back to you bro i've been like a headless chickin for the past few weeks...You've deff seen some cool artistis an to have a jam with some of the best artists in your house is well cool ,the best gig i've ever been too was Pink Floyd at earls court in London in 98 unbelievable & the way Dave Gilmour plays is just another day at the office ,it makes me sick as i've tryd too learn the guitar for years when i was younger an could never get there an always gave up ,which i regret big time. the one name im surprised at that i never seen on your list was Albert King !!
