Great to see these sort of events published. Not sure how long ago this run occured, but perhaps you and Jacqulin could update us on the young girls progress following her operation etc. Thanks

Ride 'til We Rot members are NOT outlaws

Looking to just chew the fat and enjoy a laugh with the chosen few on occasions. I'm a divorced dad of five kids.
Started my motorcycle days at 8yrs and had my first bike at 14.
My dad was a motorcycle racer from way back (knew Burt Monroe < Worlds fastest Indian> well). Dad gave up bike racing to start a family (Ain't that the "same old same old") and buy a home.
After doing the dirtbike period in the 70's I moved on to various road bikes and got involved with the outlaw biker scene.
Triumphs were my main love and I still have a 77 Silver Jubilee (Limited International Edition)stored back in NZ with my dad's collection (he has @ 15 bikes).
I moved to Australia in the early 80's.
Due to some major injuries, I had ceased regular riding. I had a metal knee replacement and am now back on track.
I currently have an old 76 Yamaha XS650 in the garage, (just for some 70's nostalgia) and a T100 Bonneville as my regular ride.
I had an accident in 95 and wrote off one of my bikes. My dad came over from NZ and took the bike home with him. This got him back into bikes again (although he always had some project brewing over the years).
He subsequently began collecting, building, restoring bikes, and now has a great collection.
He was until recently building scaled down slider bikes for kids to learn speedway. He ceased competitive classic racing at age 70, after having two knee replacements which prevented him from racing the old machines.
Bikes I have Had.
Triumph Bonneville's (6)
Harley (77XLCH Sporty)
Yamaha SR500, XS750 Triple,XS 650.
Suzuki TS185 Dirt
Kawasaki KT250 Trials.
My Dad's collection contains, Triumphs, BSA's,Ducati 67 250 narrow case, Jawa speedway bikes and a garage and sound proof drumming studio, now full of bike parts. LOL

I wonder if they knew each other?? he raced with the likes of Ivan Mager, Peter Collins etc, his name is Stan Dewhurst

Joke time

Not really a joke but a list of 12 of the finest (unintentional) double-entendres ever aired on TV, to good to let go.

1. Ted Walsh - Horse Racing Commentator - 'This is really a lovely horse. I once rode her mother.'

2. New Zealand Rugby =2 0 Commentator - 'Andrew Mehrtens loves it when Daryl Gibson comes inside of him.'

3. Pat Glenn, weightlifting commentator - 'And this is Gregoriava from Bulgaria . I saw her snatch this morning and it was amazing!'

An Obituary printed in the London Times -

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
- Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
- Why the early bird gets the worm;
- Life isn't always fair;
- and maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can… Continue
